The exhibition, ‘Long Live the Modern: New Zealand’s New Architecture, 1904-1984′, will show at the Otago Museum in Dunedin from 1 May to 3 October 2010. In conjunction with the exhibition, Gus Fisher Gallery Director Linda Tyler will conduct bus and walking tours to modern places in Dunedin on the weekend of 1-2 May. The exhibition, ‘Long Live the Modern: New Zealand’s New Architecture, 1904-1984′, is showing at the NewDowse in Lower Hutt from 30 January to 4 April 2010. In conjunction with the exhibition, Julia Gatley and Linda Tyler conducted bus tours to modern places in Lower Hutt and Wellington on the weekend of 13-14 March.

The exhibition, ‘Long Live the Modern: New Zealand’s New Architecture, 1904-1984′, is showing at the Hawkes Bay Museum and Art Gallery in Napier from 3 July to 22 November 2009. In conjunction with the exhibition, Dr Peter Wood will deliver a lecture on architect Len Hoogerbrug on 17 September at 6 p.m.

The annual DOCOMOMO NZ meeting will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday 5 December 2009, the day after Christine McCarthy’s symposium on 1980s New Zealand architecture. The venue is TBC, but hopefully the VUW School of Architecture and Design, 139 Vivian Street. The main agenda item will be registrations and heritage listings. Earlier in the year a few people volunteered to fill out some registration forms. If you have done any of these, please submit them to Julia Gatley before 25 November.
